Rick Santorum was the top vote-getter in the Republican presidential straw poll at the Senate District 25 GOP caucus at  Tuesday night.

The former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania finished with 87 votes. He was followed by Mitt Romney with 56 votes, Ron Paul with 48 and Newt Gingrich with 20.

The caucus drew more than 200 residents—including registered voters and observers—from the eastern half of District 25, living in Northfield, Bridgewater Township, Dennison, Dundas, Nerstrand, Northfield Township and Wheeling Township.
