Here is the text of Delfi’s press release:

Delfi Technologies, a company based in Denmark, is opening its U.S. headquarters at 209 Water St. S. on the west bank of the Cannon River (formerly Erbert & Gerbert’s) in Northfield, Minnesota. The newly formed branch of Delfi will possess the name Delfi Technologies Inc. Delfi’s owner, Palle Svendsen, has local ties to Northfield through The Rotary Club of Northfield.

The company specializes in various solutions for the retail industry. Delfi Inc. will primarily focus on the company’s software, The Breece System, which provides retailers the ability to manage pricing, promotions, and store operations at the product level in a cost-effective way.

Through the use of digital price tags, or ESLs (Electronic Shelf Labels), this innovative system allows retailers to design and accurately manage their price tags digitally from a central location. The system streamlines store operations and ensures price and product information accuracy from store to store and from display to register, eliminating incorrect product information.

The system provides a simple and highly effective way to significantly improve product merchandising by replacing paper labels with an innovative electronic labeling solution.  By switching to a digital system, operational costs attributed to printing, replacing, and disposing of paper price tags reduce significantly, thus allowing businesses to maximize revenue and operational efficiency.
