Woman Slightly Hurt in Chain-Reaction Crash on Washington Street

A woman was slightly injured Friday morning in a chain-reaction crash in the 300 block of Washington Street.

Northfield Hospital EMS personnel treated the person for a hand injury at the scene of the 9:50 a.m. crash. She was not transported to the hospital by ambulance.

The woman was in a Ford Taurus pointed north on Washington Street that struck head-on a Toyota Prius parked on the south side of the street in front of Life Skills Education. The Prius was pushed into an SUV that was parked behind it.

A car parked behind the SUV did not appear to be hit.

The airbags of the Taurus, which was towed from the scene, were deployed. The Prius and SUV were damaged.

Northfield police investigated the crash. Northfield firefighters responded to apply absorbent to soak up a fluid spill.
