PHOTOS: June Dairy Days Keeps Residents Moo-ving

Just Food Co-op’s June Dairy Days celebration kept children and adults moo-ving.

For the children in attendance, the event in the co-op’s downtown Northfield parking lot featured hula hoops, lawn games, sidewalk chalk and rolling ice cream.

With rolling ice cream, children and staff members from the Northfield Area Family YMCA loaded the ingredients for homemade ice cream into a plastic sphere, which then was rolled on the parking lot until the ingredients chilled into a creamy delight.

For adults, there were samples and displays of dairy products available at the co-op.

And for everyone, a grill master prepared hamburgers and hot dogs.

June Dairy Days was part of the co-op's observance of National Dairy Month.
