Y Navigators Camp Kicks Off First Full Week of Fun This Summer on June 10

Y Navigators, the Northfield Area Family YMCA’s summer-long day camp, begins its first full week of operation this summer on Monday, June 10.
The camp, which is available to children entering kindergarten through fifth grade, had a partial week of operation last week because Northfield schools were in session until Tuesday, June 4.
Y Navigators is a flexible three-, four- or five-day a week day camp program that is open from 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The program is based at the Northfield National Guard Armory, 519 Division St. S.
It’s not too late to register your children for one week, two weeks or the rest of the summer. There is a one-time $20 per-child registration fee, and weekly fees are due one week in advance of the camp week for which you register.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE
The program offers field trips to a variety of locations, both local and not-so-local destinations, that are designed to strengthen our campers’ minds and well as their bodies.

Here is a weekly calendar of themes, field trips and activities for the rest of the summer:

• Week of July 8 (Science Spectacular)—Monday: Greenvale Park; Tuesday: Northfield Pool; Wednesday, Minnesota Science Museum; Thursday: Northfield Pool; Friday, Paw Play Date/ Camper’s Choice.
• Week of July 15 (Treasure Hunt)—Monday: Carleton Arb; Tuesday: Northfield Pool; Wednesday, Rice County Fair; Thursday: Northfield Pool; Friday, Library.
