SEEDS Farm offers ways to become involved in the community and in sustainable agriculture

SEEDS Farm, (Social Entrepreneurship, Environmental Design and Stewardship), is excited to start it’s second season this summer! SEEDS Farm is less than a mile just south of town on 50 acres of land. The farm came about as a catalyst to accomplish the following four goals:

  • obtain a deeper understanding and appreciation for environmental stewardship and sustainable agriculture
  • foster experiential learning, discovery, innovation and entrepreneurship
  • create and strengthen local community and
  • produce healthy food.

SEEDS Farm strives to accomplish these goals through community involvement at the farm, participating in the Riverwalk Farmers market, working with the Community Action Center Foodshelf and the Farm to School program, involving college interns, collaborating with the Rural Enterprise’s Agripreneur Training Center, hosting YMCA camp farm days, providing affordable, fresh and sustainably grown produce, being good stewards of the land, and more! This year, we are planting four acres of vegetables.

This season we are offering:
