In 2004 I attended my first Democratic Farmer Labor (DFL) Party's caucus. I've been involved ever since serving at various levels of the party. Currently I'm the Chair of Senate District 25 D.F.L. and the Associate Chair of the Second Congressional District D.F.L. 

To me politics is about people.

Jimmy Carter once said:
“We need a government as good as the people it serves.”

And I agree.

I am passionate about helping those in poverty and the working poor.

That is why I'm involved.
