I am a mom to two boys, ages 16 and 13.  Our oldest is finishing his sophomore year of High School, and our youngest is finishing 7^th grade at the Middle School.  My husband and I will celebrate 18 years of marriage this fall.  Oh, and we also have an 8 year old Irish Setter and newly rescued 3 year old American Brittany that would be sad if I left them out.

I have been a SAHM for 12 years, and have also worked outside the home.  I currently work as a Nurse Manager at a local clinic part-time.

Our family is very involved in Boy Scouts, Church and 4-H here in town.  In my spare time, I am a voracious reader, love to cook and bake, and enjoy both vegetable and flower gardening.  I recently started learning how to embroider and quilt, albeit slowly and painfully.  I have always loved to write (I actually was an English major before switching to Nursing in college), and blogging with The Patch is a great way for me to reconnect with that.
