Police dogs made rounds during routine searches at Northfield High School and Northfield Middle School on Tuesday morning.
K-9 narcotic searches at Northfield High School and Northfield Middle School on Tuesday morning did not turn up any drugs. Northfield’s interim police chief, Chuck Walerius, told the Northfield News that the dogs searched lockers, locker rooms and parking lots during the routine search. “They, luckily, found nothing,” he said. “The kids know we are going to do this one or two times a year, but the kids don’t know when.” Students were notified of the search and were kept in classrooms while the dogs made their rounds, the Northfield News says. The suspect is facing pending charges including three (3) Felony Animal Cruelty charges and three (3) Felony Burglary charges.
