How to Help the Haslett-Marroquin Family

The outpouring of support since the Haslett-Marroquin's rural Northfield home was destroyed by fire on the Thanksgiving Eve has been awe-inspiring. Within hours of the fire, friends created a Facebook page to help the family out, which now has more than 400 members. Friends of the family held a bake sale during Winter Walk, organized a benefit concert that raised nearly $5,000 and organized efforts to collect clothing and meal donations for the family, which includes three children who attend ARTech and Prairie Creek Community School. Two days after the blaze, two dogs and a cat believed to have perished in the blaze were found.
