Northfield Man Gets Probation for Sex with Minor

Jesus Celis Perez, 23, is on probation for 10 years for having sex with a 15-year-old when he was 20.

A Northfield man will serve 10 years supervised probation for having sex with a minor. Jesus Celis Perez, 23, was sentenced Tuesday in Rice County District Court for third-degree sexual conduct for an incident that happened in July 2008. According to the criminal complaint filed with Rice County, Perez, then 20, had sex with a 15-year-old girl. The two agreed to have sex, the complaint says, after Perez consumed about two beers and the girl had six or seven beers. After having sex for about 10 minutes, the girl told police, she asked Perez to stop because of pain from intercourse. Perez didn’t initially stop, according to the complaint.
