Where the 1950s "S-Wing" addition once sat, a new addition connects the rear of the 1910 building to the lounge area near the College Street entrance.

The view for those entering the Weitz Center for Creativity at the College Street entrance is a lounge and coffee shop area. Straight back is a stairway to the rear of the 1910 building; at back right is an atrium; off-screen at right is the entrance to the performance theater, which takes up part of the former gymnasium space. Part of the space in view would have been the former Northfield Middle School cafeteria, which was removed.

To the left of the College Street entrance are two gallery spaces, approximately where the middle school cafeteria would have been. One current exhibit features John Schott's photographs of the old building's demolition.

Part of the building's former gymnasium space was converted into a performance theater capable of seating 250 people. The space can be easily rearranged to accommodate different seating formats.

The Weitz Center for Creativity at Carleton College houses theater, dance, cinema and media studies programs, as well as the Weitz Center Cinema. The 250-seat theater holds all types of screenings, including film screenings, film society screenings, classic films, arthouse films and more. All screenings are open to the public.

The Weitz Center also includes two video production studios, an audio recording suite, and specialized cinema classrooms. Visit the Weitz Center Cinema's website for details on the cinema or for information on upcoming events or screenings.
