Northfield's Methodist congregation began meeting at homesteads in 1855 and its first pastor was Dr. John Scofield. Its current building on Maple Street was constructed in 1965 and houses a large church and is also the site of Northfield Nursery School. A variety of programs and outreach ministries are available for children, teens and adults.
