Support Northfield Nonprofits During Give to the Max Day

Goodbye Blue Monday on Wednesday will play host to a collaborative effort of 18 Northfield nonprofits looking to get patrons to donate.

For the past two years, giveMN.org has given everyday folks the opportunity to easily donate online to their favorite nonprofit groups.

Each year, a 24-hour period—known as Give to the Max Day, which starts 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, this year—brings in added bonuses for organizations receiving donations during that time. This year, giveMN.org will hand out $4,161,929 in incentives for groups that meet benchmarks for individual donations and dollars raised. GiveMN will also hand out $1,000 every hour to a random group.

Last year, more than $330,000 was and their projects. Last year's top group? Nearly 1,800 people donated about $196,000 to . The college led greater Minnesota in the number of unique donors and was awarded $20,000.
