Northfield CAC Makes Christmas a Little Merrier

The Community Action Center of Northfield distributed gift packages for its annual Christmas Sharing program on Wednesday.

The  on Wednesday spread a little Christmas cheer by distributing gift packages for its annual Christmas Sharing program.

“Everyone has really warm feelings about the holidays and Christmas,” said Kathy Bjerke, administrative director for the CAC.

This year, approximately 4,000 toys were donated to the program.

Bjerke estimated that the net worth of the donations fell between $40,000 and $60,000. Approximately 900 children will receive a CAC gift package this year.

“This is really a project that the community has embraced,” said Bjerke. “We’re very grateful for that.”
