Give 5: Reading at the Northfield Public Library

Words are my business, so, naturally, I spread the love of words for fun.

Back in December, I dug out a .

Why, you ask? Because it's part of my job.

I have the great fortune to work for Patch and, with that, am afforded the opportunity five times a year to get away from work to volunteer in my community.

It's our Give 5 program, where all Patch employees go into their respective communities to give back.

This time around, I thought I'd kick it up a notch.

I contacted my friends at the and was able to setup a time to stop by Thursday to read to children from the Head Start program.

It was a delight to read to the 16 chipper, chatty kiddies. The theme of the day was pigs, as you can see from the accompanying video.
