Here's clue No. 2:

Four squared is sixteen, you know its true, just use this as your base
but five squared is what, don’t calculate, it should ultimately equate
Plotting the points of this uncommon shape will lead you to this place
How many points are up to you, depending on your pace

Here's clue No. 1:

Welcome to a new regime, where websites guide your way
Be it radio, print or on your screen, they’ll help claim the hidden pay
Look north or south, or west or east where friends and neighbors play
If you’re the one to find the shoe, the prize will make your day

There are six clues, with one being released at 6 a.m each day through Saturday. Be sure to check back at Northfield Patch every day for the new clue. If the horseshoe isn't found by noon on Sept. 7, the contest will end and the money will rollover into next year's hunt.
