‘We Got ‘Em’: Vikings Fans Welcome Mike Zimmer to Minnesota

Minnesotans expect big things from the new coach.

Vikings fans were quick to praise the team’s decision to hire Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer as new Vikings head coach.

Zimmer will replace Leslie Frazier, who was fired at the end of the 2013 season. The new coach gained a reputation for turning defenses around during his tenure at the Bengals and the Dallas Cowboys.

The Vikings finished the 2013 season with a 5-10-1 record and 24th in the NFL power rankings. Many people expect Zimmer to bring his penchant for turning teams around.
