Northfield Raiders Fall on the Road to Red Wing, 14-7

Northfield's record falls to 1-2 in the Missota Conference, 2-2 overall.

The football team lost to Red Wing, 14-7, on Friday night in a road Missota Conference showdown. 

The Raiders fell to 2-2 on the year and 1-2 in conference play. Their next game is their homecoming game against Chanhassen on Friday. Game time is 7 p.m.

Jake Mathison scored the Raiders' lone touchdown on a 9-yard run in the third quarter. Aaron Stets' extra point tied the score, 7-7. Red Wing went ahead for good on a fourth-quarter touchdown pass and PAT.

Red Wing (3-1, 2-1) bounced back from a 36-0 loss to Holy Angels last week. Its next game is on the road against Chaska on Friday.

In other Missota Conference games Friday, Shakopee downed Farmington, 42-10; Holy Angels nipped Chanhassen, 35-33; and New Prague topped Chaska, 28-6.
