PHOTOS: Morsching's Hat Trick Not Enough to Top Holy Angels

The Raiders rallied back twice from three-goal deficits to make the game close, but fell 6-5.

The Stars of the Academy of Holy Angels came to the Northfield Ice Arena on Thursday night and dealt Northfield its first Missota Conference loss of the season.

The Raiders (10-4, 4-1 Missota) rallied back twice from three-goal deficits to make the game close, but fell 6-5.

Senior Alex Morsching tallied a hat trick with two goals in the second period and a third in the final period. Senior Andrew Scofield scored the other two goals. Scofield also assisted on both of Morsching's goals, with Morsching returning the favor on Scofield's third-period goal.

Northfield goaltender Spencer Jones was peppered with 13 shots in the first period, which put the Stars up 4-1 after the first period. For the game, Jones had 21 saves.

The Raiders next play Mankato West 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Northfield Ice Arena.
