Northfield's Dan Casper Wins Masters World Pursuit Championship

Northfield's Dan Casper has won the Masters World Pursuit Championship in England.

Held Monday, Casper posted a time of 3:33:501 for the 3K race, according to britishcycling.org. There were 28 riders in the qualifying round.

A rider with the GrandStay Hotels Cycling Team, Casper competed in the 45-49 bracket at the Manchester velodrome.

Only two other Minnesota riders have won a Masters World Track Championship, according to the Minnesota Cycling Federation.
