Northfield Girls Golf, Brooke Finger Take Sixth At State
The Raiders senior shot a 157 at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids
The Northfield girls golf team finished sixth overall at the Class AAA state meet on Wednesday at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids.
The Raiders were in last place heading into Wednesday’s final round, but Northfield rebounded from a 380 team score on Day 1 and posted a 335 on Day 2. The result was a 735 overall score, which lifted them past Mounds View and Woodbury in the team standings.
Wayzata won the overall team title with a 661 score. Stillwater finished second at 668.

Northfield senior Brooke Finger led the way for the Raiders. She finished sixth overall with a 157 overall score, nine strokes behind co-champions Celia Kuenster of Cretin-Derham Hall and Cassie Deeg of Stillwater Area.
Junior Devyn Gardner finished 28th overall with a final two-round total of 169. Katie Moors finished 81st overall at 201, Nicole Traxler finished 84th with a 208, Cassidy Hanzlik finished 86th with a 212 and Laine Fischer finished 88th overall with a 218.
