Northfield Boys Track Takes Fourth At Faribault Invite

The Raiders finished with a team score of 77 points, while Lakeville North won the nine-team event

The Northfield boys track and field team took fourth overall at the Faribault Invitational on Thursday. 

The Raiders finished with a team score of 77 points in the nine-team event. Lakeville North won with 115 points, Minneapolis Southwest took second at 99 points and Faribault took third at 82 points.

Walid Keita won the 400 meter dash with a time of 53.24. Teammate Taylor Mielke finished third at 55.05.

Tyler Larson won the 800 meter run (2:04.02), and teammate Corbi Godfrey took seventh at 2:16.01.

Kyle Blom finished second in the triple jump at 39-09.00, while Cooper Schultz finished third in the shot put (46-09.00. Schultz also finished second in the discus (134-02.50) behind Lakeville North’s Jake Weber.

Zach Bjorklund took seventh in the 100 meter dash (12.05), and Joseph Brake took seventh in the 200 meter dash (25.32). Godfrey (4:57.00) and Samuel Fox (4:59.94) took seventh and eighth, respectively, in the 1600 meter run.

Nicholas Motzko took third in the 300 meter hurdles and sixth in the 110 meter hurdles.

The 4x400 meter relay took first at 3:38.95, while the 4x100 and 4x200 meter relays each finished fifth overall.

The 4x800 meter relay finished second at 8:42.97.
