New Prague Controls Second Half, Drops Northfield, 48-37

The Raiders led at halftime, but ended up losing their third game of the season.

Nathon Preston rushed for more than 200 yards and four touchdowns as New Prague dropped , 48-37, in a Missota Conference matchup Friday night in New Prague.

The Trojans were down by three points, 24-21, at halftime before Preston and his teammates took control in the second half. According to unofficial statistics, Preston finished with 24 carries for 216 yards.

Devon Walker had a big game on the ground for the , rushing for more than 140 yards, according to unofficial figures.

New Prague earned its first victory of the season against the Raiders, while Northfield fell to 0-3 overall, 0-2 in the conference.

The Raiders’ three losses have been by a combined 24 points.

Northfield seeks to get into the win column on Friday, Sept. 21, when it plays host to conference foe Chanhassen, which entered tonight’s Missota game with Holy Angels with a 1-1 overall record.
