Nia, also know as ‘Movement Art with Function’ incorporates Somatic Movement techniques combining Healing Arts: Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais & Yoga, Dance Arts: Jazz, Modern Dance, Duncan, Martial Arts: Tai Chi. Moving, releasing tension physically and mentally, leave feeling renewed, calm, relaxed, stretched. Nia requires no past experience with any of these, but draws from these practices. People to come back time and time again to Nia classes as the total body movement releases tension physically and mentally, and people leave class feeling renewed, calm, relaxed, stretched, and refreshed. Nia is a favorite of those ages 50+ all over the USA. Taught by seasoned instructor.
