See full results for the annual race through Wisconsin.

The 30th Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival—something like the Boston Marathon for Midwest bicyclists—took place over the weekend in Wisconsin.

The race started with 27 riders in 1983. This year, 1,850 riders rode the 40 miles to finish at Telemark Resort. Another 900 riders were to start concurrently in downtown Cable in the 16-mile Short & Fat and also finish at Telemark.

Dan Bergeson, a 60-year-old cyclist from Northfield, finished 54th among the 60-64 male riders with a time of 4:28:43.5 and a pace of 9.1 mph.

Bergeson told Patch the ride was great, but he didn't do as well as he hoped despite riding a personal best by 10 minutes.
