VIDEO: Tech Boot Camp for Northfield Teachers

Northfield teachers will get schooled in the world of iPads next week.

Next week Northfield teachers will head back to school—not to teach, but to do a little learning themselves.

As part of the district's —which saw the Northfield School Board last month  to lease iPads for teachers this year with the idea of leasing iPads for all students in the 2013-14 school year—teachers will spend time next week learning the ins and outs of tablet technology.

The district will lease the iPads for three years at about $41,000 per year. There will be additional costs for purchasing software and for protective covers for the iPads.
