Seven years

How long have you been a paraprofessional?
Nine years

Why did you want to become a paraprofessional?
I enjoy working with kids and had spent a lot of time as a volunteer, so I figured it would be a good fit.

What's your favorite part of your job?  
Helping students reach their academic and personal goals. Encouragement, patience, and building confidence are my strongest strategies in accomplishing this.  

What do you like to do when you're not working?  
Spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy home improvement projects, gardening and reading a good book.

Recently, The Help.

Favorite movie  
I never get tired of The Sound of Music.

Favorite cafeteria food 
I can't resist turkey gravy with mashed potatoes.

Favorite subject when you were in school 
Math and any type of art
