Here's a look back at Monday's Northfield School Board meeting.

Here's a look back at Monday's Northfield School Board meeting.

Documents from the meeting are attached as PDFs.

The board:

  • approved 6-1 to distribute iPads to the district's students starting next school year. Rob Hardy was the lone dissenter. Each student in sixth through 12 grade will receive an iPad, while students in elementary schools will share iPad minis in their classrooms. Faculty and staff have been using iPads this school year. The school board last year approved a plan to integrate tablet computers into the district. District officials were hopeful to eventually get a tablet in the hands of every student.
  • reviewed a school calendar that would start classes on Sept. 3. It will likely be approved at the board's next meeting on Feb. 25.
  • received an enrollment update.
