Northfield Students Have 'White Out' for Jack Jablonski

A number of Northfield students wore white to Thursday's hockey game to support Jack Jablonski.

The stands at the for the Northfield-Farmington boys hockey game on Thursday night was a sea of white as students wore the color to honor paralyzed Benilde-St. Margaret's hockey player Jack Jablonski.

Jablonski, a 16-year-old sophomore, sustained the injury during a junior varsity game on Dec. 30. He underwent spinal surgery on Wednesday, and on Thursday his neurosurgeon said Jablonski would likely .

A number of schools in the metro area had "white outs" of their own to honor Jablonski, as did students outside the state.

Hockey fans attending games on Thursday were asked to do the same in support of Jablonski. Northfield senior Isabelle Chapman organized the effort for Thursday's Raiders-Tigers game.
