Northfield Students Fare Well in Chess Tourney

Several Northfield students recently competed—and placed—in the 2012 Spring Chess Tournament hosted by South Central Service Cooperative and Mankato Community Education/Recreation

Sibley Elementary's Peter Hillmann tied for first in the elementary division and tied for first in the second-grade level. Sibley's Collin Thomas-Green tied with Peter for first in the elementary division and first in the second-grade level.

St. Dominic School's Henry Hutton tied for third place in the middle division and tied for second in the fifth-grade level.

Northfield Middle School's Jackson Hillmann finished fourth in the upper division and first in the seventh-grade level.
