Northfield Principal Emails Parents in Wake of Newtown, CT School Shooting

Here is the email Sibley Elementary Principal Scott Sannes sent to parents this afternoon in response to the Newtown, CT school shooting where reportedly 27 people were killed, including 20 children.

Hello Sibley Families,

You are likely aware of the school shooting in Newtown, CT where several elementary aged students and staff members were killed this morning.  Please know that we have directed staff to operate at a heightened awareness level, but we have not implemented any formal lock down procedures.  We plan to maintain normalcy in our schools and we have not notified our students about the incident. Our thoughts go out to the families and the entire community of Newtown as they deal with this tragedy.
