Northfield students aren't happy.
Northfield Public Schools are open Friday as neighboring districts—Faribault, Randolph, Kenyon—are either closed or have a two-hour delay as a snow system moved through the area overnight and continues to drop snow.
We took to Twitter to gather some thoughts from Northfield students about having school today.
Also, here's a video Patch did with Superintendent Chris Richardson about how snow days are decided.
What do you think of the decision to have school on Friday? Are students griping over nothing or do they have valid complaints? Let us know in the comment section!
I live off hwy 3 & fairbault is literally 10 mins down the road from me. I don't understand how they're closed & we arent..
I'm so happy for Faribault!! they have a snow day and we don't! Awesome!
I actually love the fact that we have school.....
apparently we can't afford to not be in school for some odd reason. We've had three shots at a snow day this year.
Other than the fact that there's a drift that's taller than my car conveniently placed behind it.. I'd love to make the trek to school.
Good job Northfield you never fail to disappoint us! #dreamscrushed
yes, we have school. absolutely shocking.
SCHOOL'S NOT CLOSED?!?!?!?!?!?!? #ihatelife
Really Mr. Richardson? You expect me to come to school today, but my road isn't even plowed!
Still coming in late though... #haventgottenoutofbedyet
Not even a 2 hour late start...?
Its a joke! Awful.
I hate northfield.
