ARTech Director Returns to Prairie Creek Community School

Simon Tyler will rejoin the school he taught at for a number of years.

Board of Directors has announced the selection of Simon Tyler as the school’s next director, beginning July 1, 2011.

For the past three years, Tyler has served as the director of , a local grade 6-12 public charter school.

For Tyler it will be a homecoming of sorts, as the former Prairie Creek teacher returns to assume the school’s leadership role.

Prairie Creek’s current director, Caroline Jones, retires at the end of June and she is pleased to know that Tyler will be assuming the role of director.

“I am leaving the school in the competent hands of someone who clearly understands the mission of Prairie Creek,” she shared.

The selection process included an interview, a conversation with staff, an evening meeting with parents, and interactions with students during a visit to the school.

Tyler is pleased to have the opportunity to return to Prairie Creek and noted, “While it will be difficult to leave ARTech, I am eager to again become a part of the Prairie Creek community.”
