Veterans Day 2012: Honoring Those Who Served

As America readies to to honor our armed service veterans, we thought we'd look back at some of our coverage of the federal holiday.

With Veterans Day falling on a Sunday this year, the annual Bridgewater Elementary Veterans Day Program is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday.

The event is open to all veterans; there will be a brief social hour following with cards, coffee and cookies.

It's good to see this coverage of local veterans news in Northfield and to remember veterans in general. Pick Up Please has a great infographic with a lot of meaningful facts and stats about veterans. One way to remember the sacrifices of our veterans is to learn more about them.
