Sheriff's Newsletter: Unsafe at Any Speed

The latest news from Dakota County Sheriff Dave Bellows.

While on patrol Deputy Bryan Hermerding clocked a car traveling northbound on Highway 52 at 125 miles per hour. Bryan turned on the car and it took nearly six miles until he was able to get the driver to pull over.

While speaking with the driver, a 47-year-old man from Inver Grove Heights, Bryan had reason to believe he was driving while impaired. Driving 125 miles per hour presents a danger to all other motorists, and it was made even worse when the subject was driving while impaired. The man was arrested for DWI and taken to jail.
