We may be welcoming the Minnesota Wild back to the ice, but the slippery conditions on Ravenna Trail Monday morning were not a welcomed sight.  Between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m., deputies responded to 14 cars in the ditch along Ravenna Trail near County Road 68.  There was one rollover (pictured), however, there were no injuriesamong all the incidents.

It is believed that the early morning fog settled and froze onto the pavement, causing the treacherous conditions.  No other places within our patrol area reported slippery roads that morning.  Responding to the scene of this crash were  Deputies Ryan Fitzgerald and Ryan Olson, Sergeants Pat Enderlein and Jim Iliff, and Park Ranger Salah Ahmed.  Even without snow, the road conditions can change quickly when the temperatures fluctuate near freezing.  Drive safely.
