Dave Thompson Readies Warehouse-Tax Repeal
The Lakeville state senator whose district also includes Northfield is writing a bill in case of a special session, MinnPost reported.
A newly passed tax on warehoused goods won't take effect in Minnesota if a bill that Sen. Dave Thompson (R-Lakeville) is preparing passes during a potential special session of the Minnesota Legislature.
That's according to MinnPost, which quotes Thompson as saying “I do think there is bipartisan recognition that this warehousing tax is very damaging to employment and damaging to business in the border areas, in particular."
Thompson represents Senate District 58, which includes the northern tier of Northfield.
