  • approved a resolution opposing the proposed Minnesota marriage amendment. Read more about it here.
  • declared a vacancy for Patrick Ganey's Ward 4 seat. The city will publish a notice seeking people to fill the vacancy on Oct. 6. The deadline to turn in applications is Oct. 17. The Council will interview candidates on Oct. 23. Someone could be appointed that night.
  • agreed to consider a resolution opposing the proposed voter ID amendment at its Oct. 16 meeting.
