  • received news that the city was awarded a $7 million tax credit to build a 28-unit multi-family townhome development in collaboration with Three Rivers Community Action. The townhomes will be two to four bedrooms for income-qualifying families in the community. Councilor Suzie Nakasian told Patch that they are an exciting contribution to the city's affordable housing policy and "congratulations are due to (Community Development Coordinator) Michele Merxbauer and the HRA as well as to Three Rivers Community Action for their hard work and perseverance in making these affordable homes possible for Northfield."
  • made a statement about a closed session held before the work session to discuss a against the city concerning its funding process for the proposed .
  • discussed the early steps in replacing Councilor Patrick Ganey, who has in Vermont and will leave the Council. Ganey doesn't know when he'll resign, but it could be within the next few weeks.
