UPDATED: Woman Hospitalized After Three-Vehicle Crash on I-35 Near Northfield Exit

At least one person is in critical condition after a three-vehicle crash Tuesday night at milepost 69 near the Northfield exit on Interstate 35.

At least one person is in critical condition after a three-vehicle crash Tuesday night at milepost 69 near the Northfield exit on Interstate 35.

Few details are available about the incident, but the Minnesota State Patrol has classified it as a rear end crash that happened in the southbound lanes. The crash happened at 6:48 p.m and came about four hours after a  in I-35's southbound lanes in Burnsville that hospitalized a Northfield teenager.

A 27-year-old Bloomington woman, whose name has not been released, was transported to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Listed in critical condition, she was wearing a seat belt and the airbag in her 2008 Chevy HHR deployed. 

Andrea H. Liverseed, 42, of Faribault sustained no apparent injuries, according to the State Patrol. She was wearing a seat belt and the airbag deployed in her 2003 Acura.

Amber K. Goraczkowski, 19, of Swea City, IA, was driving a 1986 Dodge W15 when she rear-ended the Bloomington woman, who had rear-ended Liverseed. Goraczkowski's condition is not listed, but she was transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center.

Alcohol was not detected on Liverseed, the Bloomington woman or Goraczkowski, according to the State Patrol.

The Rice County Sheriff's Office and Lonsdale Police Department assisted on the call.
