The on Thursday held an open house for Fire Prevention Week.

A Northfield police car, ambulance, firetruck and North Memorial Hospital rescue helicopter were available for kids to get in and explore. 

Demonstrations of the use of fire extinguishers and a were given to teach safety tips and inform children as well as adults.

Food was served by the firefighters while other groups, like the , displayed information on safety.
