SUV Collides With Waste Management Truck; Two Sent to Northfield Hospital

Northfield Fire and Rescue, the Dakota County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol were among the agencies to respond to the scene.

At least two people were transported to with injuries after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Canada Avenue and Northfield Boulevard near the Waterford Iron Bridge.

The collision, which took place around 2 p.m., involved a four-door Jeep SUV and a Waste Management truck. The Waste Management truck looked relatively undamaged, but the front of the Jeep sustained heavy damage.

It's unknown at this time how many people were in the Jeep or Waste Management truck and who was brought to the hospital.
