UPDATED: Albertville Bank Robbed, Bloomington Credit Union Targeted for Robbery; Suspect's Description Similar to Northfield Robber

The description of the person in each robbery is similar to the suspect in an April robbery of the Northfield branch of the US Federal Credit Union.

At about 1 p.m. Wednesday, Premier Bank of Albertville was robbed at gunpoint.

This robbery came about three hours after a lone, white male attempted to rob the . The description of the person in each robbery is similar to the suspect in an April robbery of the .

According to a witness report, the suspect of the Albertville robbery is a white male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet tall, and was wearing a ski mask at the time of the holdup.

The man displayed handgun and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

At around 9:35 a.m. Wednesday, a man entered the Bloomington location of and demanded money from tellers after displaying a handgun, according to an FBI press release. After a bank employee told the robber there was no cash available, the would-be robber fled the bank.

That suspect is described as approximately 35 years old and 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was reportedly wearing a dark ski mask over his face, dark gloves, a black hooded sweatshirt, and dark jeans.

It is not known yet if this attempted robbery is related to the . Descriptions of the suspects are similiar.

The circumstances of both robberies are similar in manner to a robbery that happened early last week at the . The description of the suspect in that robbery is also similar.

Those descriptions are also similar to the man the FBI is looking for in connection to the Northfield robbery, as well as robberies in Savage, . It's also a similar description to suspects for bank robberies in and .

The alleged Northfield robber is described as white male who is about 25 years old, according to FBI Special Agent Steve Warfield. The man is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and between 190 and 210 pounds. He wore a black-hooded jacket, a dark mask that covered his face from below his nose, blue jeans, dark gloves and black and white sneakers, the agent said.
