Deputy Bryce Schuenke responded to a call of a woman banging on the door of a residence along 315th Street in Greenvale Township. The woman was located and advised she had been assaulted by a man. Additional information indicated the suspect lived in a nearby residence and may be in possession of guns, as well as the fact there was a second woman in the house. Due to the nature of the call, the Multi-Agency Assistance Group (MAAG) was requested to respond. In addition, the Burnsville Police Mobile Command Post was requested, along with an Eagan police officer and his canine partner. Contact was eventually made with the suspect and, with the work of negotiators, he surrendered approximately five hours after the standoff began. Sergeant Scott Durdall, commander for the MAAG Team, oversaw the operation. Special thanks to the Burnsville, Eagan, and Northfield Police Departments for their assistance during the incident.
