Second Northfielder Cited for Social Host Ordinance Fined
The maximum penalty for violating the social host ordinance is 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Zachary Ryan Heuer on Wednesday received a $300 fine for being Northfield's second person to violate the city's Social Host Ordinance.
The ordinance, which went into law in April in Northfield, makes it illegal to knowingly provide a place for underage drinking.
Heuer, 20, was cited in August after he fled a on the 600 block of Hayes Drive in which were called to. About 12 people were at the party, according to the police report. All but one person fled the house, who was cited for underage drinking.

Deputy Police Chief Chuck Walerius said Heuer was tracked down the following day and cited.
Heuer also received a 30-day stayed jail sentence from Rice County Judge Thomas M. Neuville. Heuer, who turns 21 next July, is ordered to not consume alcohol until Oct. 12, 2012. If he's caught with alcohol—or drugs—before then, he could serve jail time.

In June, 18-year-old Atticus Christensen was the first Northfielder to be cited for a social host violation.
