Northfield Man Reportedly Uninjured in Fatal Goodhue County Crash
Thursday was a deadly day on local roads and highways.
A Northfield man reportedly was uninjured in a two-vehicle crash in which a Faribault man died Thursday afternoon in Goodhue County.
KSTP.com says Francis Pavek, 78, was not injured in the crash, which occurred at 4:46 p.m. Thursday on Highway 60 west of Wanamingo.
A Minnesota State Patrol incident report says Michael Buck, 36, was killed and two passengers in his vehicle were hurt.

According to the incident report:
Buck was driving a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer eastbound on Highway 60 when it veered into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a 1994 Freightliner semi driven by Pavek.

An 11-year-old girl in the Buck vehicle was in critical condition following the crash. An 8-year-old boy received minor injuries.
Highway 60 between Kenyon and Wanamingo was closed for five hours following the crash, says KSTP.com.
Thursday was a deadly day on local roads. In addition to the Wanamingo crash, a rural Northfield woman died in a car-versus-pedestrian crash in Webster Township and a 30-year-old man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash outside Northfield’s city limits.

FRIDAY MORNING CRASH IN NORTHFIELD
The Northfield Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred Friday morning.
The Northfield News says a SUV struck a car while attempting to turn from Jefferson Parkway to Koester Court at about 9 a.m.
