Mark Wetsch Admits to 'Man in Black' Robberies, Including in Northfield
A plea agreement would put Wetsch behind bars for 14 years. He admitted to robbing the US Federal Credit Union of Northfield—among 30 other robberies in Minnesota.
The man authorities say was the 'Man in Black' pled guilty Monday to five Minnesota bank robberies in 2011 and admitted to 25 others—including one in Shakopee.
Mark Wetsch had previously pled guilty to one 2012 bank robbery in Brewster, MN that led to his arrest.
Wetsch admitted "he wore a black mask and brandished a firearm believed to be real," according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for Minnesota. Prosecutors are seeking a prison sentence of 14 years.

Among the incidents for which Wetsch is not charged but prosecutors said he has confessed to is the armed robbery of the US Federal Credit Union of Northfield in April 2011.
Wetsch admitted to total of 31 bank robberies and attempted robberies in 2011, bringing the total amount of money he stole to more than $110,000. The robberies to which he's pled guilty are in italics in the chart below.
