MAP: Northfield's East Side Hit with Theft from Cars
Several cars had items taken from them. It's another in what has been several sprees of theft to hit Northfield this year.
Same song, different day.
A week after with stealing from unlocked vehicles, another spree of thefts has hit the city's east side Sunday night and Monday morning.
responded to six calls on Monday for items stolen from vehicles. Deputy Chief of Police Chuck Walerius tells that at least nine cars had been rummaged through.

As was the case with of , Walerius said cars were unlocked. He advises people to lock their vehicles and don't leave valuable items in them. Items usually taken are small electronics, like iPods, tablets and cell phones.
If you believe your car has been broken into or if you see any suspicious activity, Walerius encourages you to contact police.

"This is another reminder to citizens of Northfield that the police department cannot do it alone without the eyes and ears of the whole community," Walerius told Patch following a spree of thefts in June. "Please remember that if you see or hear anything suspicious during the day or night, to call police and report it."
