UPDATED: Hampton Bank Robbed; Suspect's Description Similar to Northfield Bank Robber from April

The robber was described as a white male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, and approximately 180 pounds with a medium build. The FBI said he wore a blue hooded jacket, light blue jeans, black ski mask, black gloves, and black loafers.

Another south metro bank was robbed on Friday in similar fashion as last month's robbery of the .

At about 9:45 a.m., the Merchants Bank in Hampton was robbed at gunpoint, according to the Dakota County Sheriff's Office and Minneapolis Office of the FBI.

The robber came into the bank, walked up to a teller and displayed a long barreled revolver and made a verbal demand for money, according to FBI Special Agent Steve Warfield. The teller complied with the demand and provided the robber with an undisclosed amount of money from a teller drawer.

The robber walked out of the bank with the money in his hand and headed in a southbound direction, according to the FBI. He may have left the area in a white, early 2000s model Dodge or Chrysler vehicle. No one was injured during the robbery.

The robber was described as a white male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, and approximately 180 pounds with a medium build. The FBI said he wore a blue hooded jacket, light blue jeans, black ski mask, black gloves, and black loafers. A witness outside the bank described an individual in the white vehicle, who may have been the bank robber, as a white male, about 35 years old, with sandy brown hair and a slight goatee, according to Warfield.

That description is similar to the man the FBI is looking for in connection to the Northfield robbery, as well as robberies in Savage, .

The alleged Northfield robber is described as white male who is about 25 years old, according to Warfield. The man is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and between 190 and 210 pounds. He wore a black-hooded jacket, a dark mask that covered his face from below his nose, blue jeans, dark gloves and black and white sneakers, the agent said.

According to Sheriff Dave Bellows, the suspect entered the bank and displayed a handgun, demanding money from a bank employee. The suspect is described as a white male wearing a ski mask, blue jeans and a blue windbreaker style jacket.

That description is similar to the man the FBI is looking for in connection to the Northfield robbery, as well as robberies in Savage, .

The Hampton bank robbery suspect on Friday fled on foot from the bank toward Hwy. 52 with an undisclosed amount of money. Law enforcement searched the area with the help of a K-9 unit from Goodhue County, a helicopter from the Minnesota State Patrol and officers from the Farmington and Eagan police departments.

It is believed the suspect left the area in a white mid-size Chrysler style car, according to the Dakota County Sheriff's Office.
